Will the season 2 of White Lotus be over or not? Yes. HBO announced that the show would return before the first season finale. However, White Lotus has a catch. First, HBO is considering it a “second installment” rather than a second season, and that’s because The White Lotus is taking the form of an anthology series. The next season will be rewritten by series creator Mike White, but it won’t take place at The White Lotus’ Hawaii location, it will take place at one of the other resorts owned by the same company, just in a different destination. The press release predicts “The next chapter of The White Lotus leaves Hawaii behind and follows a different group of vacationers as they jet to another White Lotus property and temporarily settle among its residents.” In an interview with TVLine, White had previously suggested that it could be “The White Lotus: San Tropez or something”.
When will The White Lotus Season 2 premiere?
Right now, it’s unclear when The White Lotus Season 2 will premiere. However, we can make some speculations. Given that its shooting began in February 2022 and wrapped up in the summer (what Coolidge reported in the New York Times in mid-July), it’s possible we could see new episodes by the end of 2022. This seems possible especially since the clip HBO Max was dropped. A preview of some of its upcoming series in July 2022 included all titles scheduled for this year – The White Lotus with only one unreleased. So, until that’s confirmed, let’s hope we have a vacancy in store for the end of 2022. We will update this post when we get more information.
